Twisting Snakes

This was a rather thin apple tree that had been cut down because it was overshaddowing the garden.      The slope of the twist was initially dicated  by a crack that extended about 18 inches down the trunk.   As this was carved in one day, I applied a simple chainsaw cut design to indicate the pattern on the snakes back.
